Know your rights
The vote is the most powerful instrument ever devised by man for breaking down injustice and destroying the terrible walls which imprison men because they are different from other men.

MILITARY &
OVERSEAS VOTERS
STUDENT VOTERS

Military members and overseas U.S. residents from Texas can vote by requesting a ballot through the Federal Postcard Application (FPCA). Once received, they can return their completed ballot by mail, or, in some cases, electronically, as directed by the Texas Secretary of State.
Students often go to school away from home and have two addresses: a school address and a home address. You can register to vote in your hometown or your college town. Check the residency requirements for voter registration of your state(s).
VOTERS WITH
DISABILITIES
VOTER PROTECTION
All polling places in Texas must be accessible, not a hindrance to voters. If you need assistance at the polls, contact the election official. You do not have to provide proof of your disability. For more options and resources view the link below.
Voter suppression is a reality many Texans face. Texas Election Protection is a non-partisan group of organizations and volunteers working to protect the right to vote. They are a free resource for all Texas voters.
VOTER REGISTRATION
STATUS
If your voter registration is “inactive” or in “suspense,” it means that your county of registration has received information that you no longer live at the address on your voter registration record. To update your voter registration, locate your “Voter Unique Identifier” (VUID).
